Pyramids FC reveal initial diagnosis of El Shenawy’s injury after Power Dynamos clash

Dr. Mostafa El-Monaiery, head of the medical staff at Pyramids FC, has revealed the initial nature of the injury sustained by international goalkeeper Ahmed El Shenawy during the match against Power Dynamos in the CAF Champions League.

El Shenawy was forced off during the first half after picking up an injury, in a match that saw Pyramids secure a 1–0 away victory at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, raising their tally to six points at the top of Group A.

According to Dr. El-Monaiery, the preliminary examination showed that El Shenawy suffered a strong contusion to the outer part of his knee. The goalkeeper is scheduled to undergo further medical scans upon the team’s return from Zambia to Cairo, in order to determine the extent of the injury.
