Pyramids FC continued their preparations for the new season with a 1-0 victory over Turkish side Kasimpasa in a friendly match held in Istanbul.
The encounter took place at the Turkish club’s training ground and marked the Egyptian team’s second test during their overseas training camp.
The only goal of the match was scored by striker Marwan Hamdy, who found the net in the first half to give the African champions a win.

Starting XI (First Half):
In the second half, head coach Krunoslav Jurcic made a series of changes in the 60th minute to give other players a runout. The substitutions included Sherif Ekramy, Mohamed Chibi, Mohamed Hamdy, Osama Galal, Ali Gabr, Ahmed Tawfik, Mahmoud Donga, Blati Toure, Youssef Obama, Dodo El Gabbas, and Fiston Mayele.
Kasimpasa were handed a late opportunity to equalize when the referee awarded them a penalty near the end of the second half. However, the Turkish side failed to convert, with the shot missing the right post of Sherif Ekramy’s goal.
The referee’s final whistle confirmed Pyramids’ narrow win as the team continues its build-up to the 2025/2026 season.
Pyramids FC enter the upcoming campaign as champions, having made history last season by winning the CAF Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
