Pyramids FC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over ENPPI in their postponed Nile Egyptian League clash from Matchweek 12, keeping the pressure firmly on the league leaders.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 24th minute. A cross from the left found Marwan Hamdy inside the box, and his clever touch set up Nasser Maher, who unleashed a strike into the net to give Pyramids an advantage.

ENPPI responded immediately after the restart. In the 47th minute, Aktay Abdullah latched onto a low cross from the left flank and did a composed finish past Ahmed El Shenawy to level the score at 1-1.

The match’s turning point arrived midway through the second half. In the 66th minute, Nasser Maher went down inside the penalty area. After a VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty to Pyramids. ENPPI head coach Hamza El Gamal protested the decision and was shown a red card.

Maher converted from the spot in the 72rd minute, placing the ball to the left of the goalkeeper to restore Pyramids’ lead and complete his brace.

The win lifts Pyramids to 31 points in second place, intensifying the race at the top of the table, while ENPPI are 11th with 20 points.
