Pyramids secure nearly $16 million in potential prize money after continental triumphs in 2025

Pyramids FC are enjoying an exceptional financial and sporting year after securing multiple continental titles in 2025.

The Egyptian club won the CAF Super Cup for the first time in their history, defeating Morocco’s RS Berkane 1–0 at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo. The victory, sealed by Fiston Mayele’s 75th-minute goal, came under the leadership of Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurcic, who guided the team to a remarkable double after also claiming the CAF Champions League title.

Following their African success, Pyramids added another trophy by winning the Africa–Asia–Pacific Cup—part of the Intercontinental Cup 2025—after overcoming Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli Jeddah. The club’s triumphs have not only elevated its continental status but also delivered significant financial rewards.

Financial Breakdown of Pyramids prizes so far:

  • CAF Champions League: Pyramids earned $4 million for winning the competition after defeating Mamelodi Sundowns in the final.

  • CAF Super Cup: The club collected $500,000 following their victory over RS Berkane.

  • Africa–Asia–Pacific Cup: Winning this title guaranteed at least $2 million, with the figure expected to rise if the team advances further in the Intercontinental Cup 2025.

If Pyramids reach the Intercontinental Cup Final to face Paris Saint-Germain, the prize money would increase to $5 million for the champions and $4 million for the runners-up.

  • By winning the CAF Champions League, Pyramids also secured qualification for the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup under the new expanded format. Participation in the tournament guarantees a minimum of $9.5 million, based on the financial structure used in the 2025 edition.

Total Income

So far, Pyramids have secured approximately $16 million in total prize money from their continental and intercontinental campaigns. This figure could rise significantly if the club reaches the final or achieves the Intercontinental Cup title and go beyond the group stage in 2029 Club World Cup.
