Pyramids dealt blow as Mohamed Chibi ruled out of Al Ahly clash

Pyramids will be without Moroccan right-back Mohamed Chibi in their upcoming Nile Egyptian League clash against Al Ahly, after the defender was sent off in the defeat to Modern Sport.

Chibi received his second yellow card in the 84th minute of Pyramids’ 2-1 loss on Matchday 4, ruling him out of Saturday’s Round 5 encounter at Al Salam Stadium.

The suspension comes at a difficult time for Pyramids, who have endured a poor start to the season. The African champions have managed just one victory in their first four matches—against Ismaily—while drawing with Wadi Degla and Al Masry, and losing to Modern Sport. They currently sit on five points.

Al Ahly, meanwhile, are also on five points but from only three matches, having recorded two draws and one win. The two heavyweights will meet on Saturday evening at Al Salam Stadium in one of the standout fixtures of the round.
