Egyptian media reports suggest that Qatari club Al-Rayyan has expressed serious interest in signing Al Ahly striker Wessam Abou Ali during the current summer transfer window.
According to the reports, Al-Rayyan have submitted an offer worth approximately $8 million for the Palestinian international.
However, Al Ahly are reportedly holding out for a figure closer to $10 million and are not willing to sanction a deal below that valuation.
Abou Ali, who impressed with his performances over the last two seasons, had been declared untouchable by the club’s management following the conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign. The Red Devils had publicly stated their intention to retain the 26-year-old forward and dismissed any immediate plans to part ways with him.
Still, the latest developments indicate that Al Ahly may be open to negotiations should a significantly lucrative offer arrive — one that the club deems impossible to turn down.
Abu Ali has emerged as one of the most promising attacking talents in Egyptian football, and his stock continues to rise both domestically and internationally. His potential move to the Qatari Stars League would mark a major step in his career, while also providing Al Ahly with a substantial financial return.
