After joining the club on a season-long loan, Djiga said: “I’m very happy to be joining Rangers, one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and Europe. I’m going to give my all, play every game, and I think it’s the best team for me. I just want to play and enjoy being with the team.”

Little used upon his arrival at Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, having played only six games last season, this loan will allow the Burkinabé defender to gain some playing time. Rangers is in the midst of a major rebuild. The team has made several signings and sees Djiga as a regular in its squad.

Trained at Bobo-Dioulasso side Vitesse FC in Burkina Faso, Nasser Djiga joined Wolverhampton Wanderers FC in the English Premier League from Red Star Belgrade after previously making his first move to European club football with Swiss Super League side FC Basel.
