Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Rangers International are reportedly looking to adopt the Awka City Stadium as their temporary home ground for the 2025/26 season.
This comes as the Flying Antelopes’ original home ground, the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, has been scheduled for renovation by the state government as they prepare the ground for hosting the upcoming National Sports Festival.
The Flying Antelopes finished in 10th position in the 2024/25 season.
Rangers players and officials are already in camp, gearing up for the upcoming NPFL season. The 2025/26 NPFL campaign is set to commence on Friday, 22 August.
