Rayan Aït-Nouri said that playing under Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola will make him a better player. The 24-year-old left-back joined the Citizens from Wolves for almost €37 million and will make his City debut during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The Algerian international told Sky Sports that joining City is a proud moment. “It was very good because it is a dream — one of the best teams in the world, with a lot of great players in this team. I was obviously proud because I have worked a lot since I came to England.”

Since coming to England at age 19, Aït-Nouri has shown his ability and was one of the top performers for Wolves during his stay. His move will now allow him to work with Guardiola, as he expects the development to be an exciting one.

“He (Pep) can make me improve a lot. We all know he is the best coach in the world, and we have seen in recent years what Manchester City have done on the pitch. It has been incredible! I am very happy and very excited to start working with him every day. I am definitely going to improve and progress on the pitch.”

Manchester City are in Group G of the Club World Cup and will face Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca in their first game. Aït-Nouri is expected to make his City debut during the encounter.
