Former Ghana keeper Razak Brimah moves to new club in Spain

Former Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah has signed for Spanish lower-tier side Club Deportivo Torreperogil ahead of the winter transfer window.

The 27-time Ghana capped shot stopper joined the fifth-tier side for the 2025/26 campaign after leaving Calahora in the summer.

Brimah, 38, has a rich experience in Spanish football, having spent a chunk of his career in the European nation from 2008 to 2017 before leaving for South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns. Brimah has spent over a decade in Spain.

He returned to play for Linares, Estepona and Calahorra and his experience is expected to help the club in its efforts to secure promotion to the Segunda Federacion.

The club announced: “We are pleased to announce the addition of goalkeeper Razak to our team. A goalkeeper with proven experience at higher levels. Welcome,” posted the club on social media announcing Brimah’s arrival.

Razak Brimah was the first choice goalkeeper when Ghana lost the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations to Ivory Coast following a decisive penalty shootout that ended 9-8. He started the 2017 edition, a tournament where Ghana finished fourth in Gabon.
