Lassine Sinayoko has become one of the most sought-after strikers in French Ligue 1 ahead of the transfer window’s closure. The Malian international is expected to leave AJ Auxerre, with RC Lens joining the race to sign him.
The northern France side is set to outbid OGC Nice in the chase for Sinayoko. According to Foot Mercato, Lens sporting director Jean-Louis Leca is scheduled to meet Auxerre officials to discuss the potential move of Sinayoko to the Red and Gold.
Nice saw their €6 million bid for the 25-year-old forward rejected by Auxerre. Lens is expected to submit an offer in the region of €8 million, which could be enough for Auxerre to accept.
Sinayoko scored in Auxerre’s Ligue 1 opening-day win over Lorient. His future at the club remains uncertain amid growing interest from other Ligue 1 sides.
