Reeve Frosler returns to boost Kaizer Chiefs pre-season tour

Kaizer Chiefs FC’s pre-season tour of Europe has received a big boost following defender Reeve Frosler’s return from a lengthy injury lay-off.

The Betway Premiership side is in Holland to kick-start preparations for the 2025-2026 campaign. Upon arrival, the South African giants announced that Frosler had recovered from a serious shoulder injury.

Frosler, who dislocated shoulder bone in the match against Cape Town City in March, has since stated the importance of the tour of Europe.

“Pre-season is always so important, as that’s where you lay the foundation for the season. The atmosphere in the camp is excellent. Pre-season is hard work, but we are ready for it,” the player told Chiefs media.

The 27-year-old is said to have spent much of the off-season break training at the High Performance Centre at Chiefs Village five times a week to recover fully ahead of the pre-season training camp.

The Soweto giants arrived in Holland on Friday afternoon to start two-week pre-season in Apeldoorn.

Chiefs striker Tashreeq Morris has also commented on the importance of the pre-season training, saying: “I am also looking forward to the friendly matches against top Dutch sides.”

Nasreddine Nabi’s team will play five training matches against Vitesse, FC Utrecht, NEC Nijmegen, PEC Zwolle and FC Twente.
