After a slow start to the 2024-25 Rwanda Premier League campaign, Rayon Sports are on fire. The beloved Kigali-based club popularly known as Gikundiro earned its eighth consecutive victory on Saturday with a 3-0 victory at Vision FC to move six points clear at the top of the table.

A major reason for the success of Gikundiro so far this season is Senegalese striker Ngagne Fall who currently leads the league with six goals. The 25-year-old acquisition from Czech club Pribram scored a goal in each half for Rayon Sports who had no issue dealing with the top division newcomers.

Rayon Sports were the last club other than APR FC to win the Premier League in the 2018-19 season but the Army club did help their cause on Sunday. APR earned three points at second place club AS Kigali with their third consecutive victory following the 1-0 result. Rwanda national team member Clement Niyigena leaped up to head in a free kick service from Ramadhan Niyibizi for the only goal of the match soon after the hour mark.

APR are now within range of second place but Rayon Sports have created some separation from the rest of the pack. Scroll down to see the results from the weekend as well as the latest league table and highlights from three matches.
