Ryan Alebiosu set for move away from Blackburn Rovers

Nigeria national team defender Ryan Alebiosu is reportedly set to leave English Championship side Blackburn Rovers, as he is gaining interest from several top-flight clubs ahead of the January transfer window.

According to reports, English Premier League club Everton, German Bundesliga team Wolfsburg and Italian Serie A clubs Sassuolo and Genoa are all monitoring the right-back’s situation.

Alebiosu only arrived at Ewood Park from Belgian Pro League outfit KV Kortrijk on a three-year deal in the summer, but he has already become one of the key performers for Blackburn Rovers this season.

The 24-year-old has made 20 appearances for Valérien Ismaël’s side, with one goal to his name. Blackburn Rovers are expected to demand around £4m for the former Arsenal player.

The right-back is currently away at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Nigeria, and interest is not expected to be stepped up until he returns from the tournament.
