Ugandan forward Sadat Anaku has completed a move to Hartford Athletic in the United States’ second tier USL Championship.
On his return to action previously, Anaku Sadat scored against Maroons off the bench.
But first, let’s take a look back at his stunning goal against Vipers in 2021 at St Mary’s Stadium.#KCCAFC #VIPKCCA #StarTimesUPL pic.twitter.com/TJ7zaUgOIM

The former KCCA FC striker has signed a two-year contract with the US-based side and will don the number 14 shirt. Anaku had been without a club since parting ways with KCCA FC at the end of the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League season.
Before returning to KCCA last year on a short-term deal, Anaku featured for Dundee United in Scotland, where he moved in August 2022 from KCCA.
His spell in Scotland was largely affected by an Achilles injury that sidelined him for close to a year. During his debut season at Dundee United, the pacey forward made 14 appearances, including two starts, and registered one assist before the injury setback curtailed his progress.
At Hartford Athletic, Anaku joins a growing list of Ugandan players currently featuring in various leagues across the United States, including Bobosi Byaruhanga, Allan Oyirwoth, Toto Majub, Ibrahim Kasule, Edward Kizza, and Steven Sserwadda.
