Senegal international Sadio Mané says he will keep working hard to help club side Al Nassr win their first Saudi Pro League title since the 2018-19 season.

The 33-year-old was instrumental in Senegal’s historic 2025 Africa Cup of Nations victory over hosts Morocco, scoring two goals and winning the Player of the Tournament as the Teranga Lions claimed their second continental conquest.
The former Metz, Red Bull Salzburg, Southampton and Liverpool forward returned to action for Saudi Pro League club, Al Nassr in their 1-0 victory over Al Taawoun on Monday, earning Man of the Match after the proceedings.

Mané, who joined Al Nassr from German giants Bayern Munich expressed happiness at winning his second AFCON trophy after the game.
“I am really happy and of course I will not stop here, I will keep working hard every single day to keep on going,” Mané said.
Mané, who has so far played ten matches with three goals and four assists to his credit, believes it is time for Al Nassr to win their first league title in seven years.
“Of course it’s the time to win a trophy and I think this season we have a good chance again to win the league even though it will not be that easy because we are five points behind but I think the season is really long to go so we will keep the momentum and try to push hard as a team and to be on top at the end of the day.”

The victory over Al Taawoun meant Al Nassr went on 40 points in second, closing the gap on leaders Al Hilal to 5 points after 17 rounds into the 2025-26 season.
