Senegalese star Sadio Mane continued his fine form as Al Nassr secured a 2-0 win over Al-Kholood at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh on Sunday, in the second round of the Saudi Pro League.

The evening began with a special moment as Cristiano Ronaldo was honored for winning the Golden Boot in last season’s Saudi Pro League (2024/25), before Al Nassr went on to deliver another commanding performance on the pitch.

After a goalless first half, Mane broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute. The forward dribbled an opponent before combining with Kingsley Coman in a one-two and finishing clinically into the net.

Spanish defender Iñigo Martínez sealed the victory in the 81st minute, rising to meet a cross with a precise header that doubled Al Nassr’s lead.

Al-Kholood had a chance to pull one back late on when Comorian striker Myziane Maolida shot a penalty, but his spot-kick was saved by goalkeeper Raghed Al-Najjar in the 90th minute.

Amazing start to the season for Al Nassr and Mane:

With back-to-back wins in the Saudi Pro League, Al Nassr now sit at the top of the table with six points, seven goals scored, and a perfect defensive record with no goals conceded. Al-Kholood, meanwhile, remain second from bottom in 17th place, having lost their opening two matches, scoring just once and conceding four goals.

Mane now has contributed to three goals in his last three appearances for Al Nassr, scoring twice and assisting once.
