The English Premier League's Player of the Season, Mohamed Salah, ended a three-match scoreless streak on Sunday with his late equalizer as 10-man Liverpool played to a 1-1 draw with Ismaïla Sarr and FA Cup champions Crystal Palace.
Despite Ryan Gravenberch's sending off fifteen minutes earlier, Salah arrived to fire in an easy finish from Cody Gakpo's assist in the 84th minute. It was a bright end to a brilliant season for Salah, who finished the Premier League campaign with an incredible record of 29 goals and 18 assists as he appeared in all 38 games for champions Liverpool.
Salah's equalizer came after a dogged effort from visitors Palace, who hit the champions with a punch to the mouth inside ten minutes through Senegal national team star Sarr. The winger pounced to finish past Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson after Crystal Palace won the ball high up the pitch.
Sarr ends a remarkable season, providing 8 goals and 6 assists for Palace this season in league play as he appeared in every Premier League match. Crystal Palace finish in the middle of the table in 12th position but will take part in the UEFA Europa League after winning the FA Cup.
