The loan agreement includes an option to make the move permanent for a reported fee of around €30 million,

Fulham who confirmed the deal on Monday expressed their delight to have the Nigerian join the London side.

“The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan. He joins on loan for the duration of the 2025/26 season, with an option to make the move permanent.”

The deal brings to an end the 26-year-old’s turbulent spell in Italy, a move that was given the green light by AC Milan’s hierarchy after it became clear the Nigerian international did not have a defined place in the squad.

He was often overshadowed by Christian Pulisic, who joined in the same summer transfer window of 2023 and quickly became a key figure for the Italian side.

There has been a prolonged interest in the Nigerian from London, but it was only in the final days of the summer that things started to get lively. The Nigerian does not really have a place at Milan, so a move was given the green light.

On Sunday night, the winger travelled to London to complete a medical, without a deal being agreed. However, it seems the parties have gotten things over the line.

Samuel Chukwueze now joins fellow Nigerians Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey at the London club, creating a Super Eagles trio at Craven Cottage.
