Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah have snapped up Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah from Belgian side KRC Genk.

The deal, which was reported to be in the region of €17 million, will mark the start of a new journey for the 20-year-old after signing a four-year contract until 2029.

Al Qadsiah are embarking on a project of acquiring young and enterprising talents and marketing them to European clubs. An example is the acquisition of Ghana U-20 forward, Jerry Afriyie, who spent last season on loan at Spanish lower tier side CD Lugo.

The contract was sealed in the Netherlands, where Bonsu Baah will join the rest of the team for preseason ahead of next season. A product of Ghana based developmental side Shooting Stars, he had trials with European powerhouses including Barcelona, Manchester United and German club Borussia Dortmund.

He had a breakthrough moment when he joined Norwegian side Sarpsborg from Shooting Stars in 2023. Genk secured his signature after his glittering performance with Sarpsborg where he gathered twelve appearances in the Norwegian league, gaining notice during his brief spell in Norway for his enthusiasm in taking defenders on the dribble.

Bonsu Baah recently earned his senior debut for Ghana, appearing in friendlies against Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago in the 2025 Unity Cup in London.
