Fashion Sakala continued his rise up the Saudi Pro League scoring charts on Friday with two crucial goals in a 3-2 victory for Al Fayha at top-5 side Al Taawon.

The Zambian helped the visitors hold off a second half charge from hosts Taawon, who came back from a two-goal deficit to level the match before Sakala struck the match winner in the 89th minute.
Algerian international Yassine Benzia opened the scoring for the visitors just before halftime before Sakala doubled the lead early in the second half. A perfect cross from Mohammed Al Baqawi in the 52nd minute found the striker at the far post for a powerful volley to make it 2-0.

Goals in quick succession from Roger Martinez and Mohammed Al Dossari leveled the match for Al Taawon, setting up a dramatic conclusion that saw Sakala finish from Sabri Dahal’s cross in the 89th minute.
Al Fayha move up to 10th place on the league table with the result and will host Neom SC in five days’ time. Sakala now has 10 goals in 20 league matches, leaving him in a tie for 11th position on the scoring charts.
