The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations champion provided the cross for the Portuguese superstar to finish in the 18th minute. Mané made way for Saudi international Ayman Yahya in the 75th minute, who went on to score the second goal to confirm three points for the visitors.
Fateh, led by North African stars Sofiane Bendebka of Algeria and Moroccan forward Mourad Batna, provided a fair challenge to the heavy favorites at the Al-Fateh Stadium. However, the hosts were unable to make a breakthrough.
And in close matches where individual moments can make the difference, Al Nassr’s stars provided the important opening goal to keep their team on the front foot. Isolated on the left wing, Senegal star Mané produced a couple of slick dribbling moves to create space for a hard cross that found the foot of Ronaldo.
The result leaves the Riyadh club within one point of Al Hilal through 21 rounds. Next up for the club is the second leg of their AFC Champions League 2 clash against Turkmen side FK Arkadag at home after winning the first leg 1-0 in Turkmenistan.
