Seko Fofana: Ivory Coast midfielder scores debut goal as Rennes whitewash Montpellier

Ivory Coast international, Seko Mohamed Fofana was on the scores sheet with his debut goal as Rennes overpowered Montpellier in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.
The midfielder fired the visitors ahead with two minutes to the half hour mark on match day 24. The 29-year-old France born midfielder’s goal separated Rennes and Montpellier moving into the half time break.
Back from recess, Rennes manager, Habib Beye effected key substitutions, strengthening the midfield and attack in order to safeguard the solitary goal from the first half. On the 56th minute, 21-year-old France international, Djaoui Cisse doubled the lead before compatriot, Lorenz Assignon made the tally 3-0 on the 69th minute mark.
The icing on the cake was completed for Rennes with another France player, Arnaud Kalimuendo sending the visitors back home courtesy a VAR awarded penalty on the 87th minute. Seko Fofana has now scored just a goal in 8 league 1 matches this season since Rennes from Saudi Pro League club, Al Nassr.
