Experienced Senegal goalkeeper Seny Dieng has signed for struggling English Championship side Sheffield Wednesday and has spoken about his move to Hillsborough.
Wednesday roped in the service of Dieng on an emergency loan from fellow championship side, Middlesbrough.

The former Grasshoppers shot stopper joins up with the Owls ahead of Sunday’s Steel City derby at Bramall Lane with Dieng likely to start in post.
Dieng started his professional career at Swiss side Grasshoppers before moving to Germany with Duisberg and later signed for QPR in 2016 where he made 116 appearances after several loan spells including one at Dundee and Doncaster Rovers.
The 31-year-old was signed by Middlesbrough in 2023 and now heads to Sheffield Wednesday to strengthen their as they battle to escape relegation.

Dieng has nine caps for Senegal and played the opening two games of their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations campaign where they defeated Egypt on penalty shootouts to win the first tournament.
Dieng was also named in Aliou Cisse’s Teranga Lions squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Sheffield Wednesday are bottom of the championship table with minus seven points from 32 matches after they were deducted six points for multiple breaches of EFL regulations relating to payment obligations.
