Evan Ndicka and AS Roma appeared to have an important victory secured in Serie A’s weekend finale on Sunday but Jérémie Boga and Juventus had other ideas.
Ivory Coast national team star defender Ndicka scored in his second consecutive match, volleying the hosts into the lead early in the second half at the Stadio Olimpico in the Italian capital. And when Donyell Malen made it 3-1 soon after the hour mark, it appared three points were secure for the hosts.
Having come off the bench just before Malen’s goal, Ndica’s compatriot Boga sprung into action fifteen minutes later when he produced a perfect volley to pull a goal back in the 78th minute for his first Juve goal. In stoppage time, another substitute provided the equalizer when Federico Gatti’s goal gave the visitors a point.

Despite his team’s loss of focus at the end, Ndicka continues to be a valuable anchor in Serie A’s best defense (19 goals conceded in 27 matches). I Giallorossi sit in fourth place following the result and remain firmly in the hunt for a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Juve’s up-and-down campaign continues and Sunday’s result is a good indicator of their domestic league form. Despite qualifying for the Round of 16 in the Champions League earlier this week, they have not won in the Italian top flight in over a month and are in a disappointing 6th place.
Boga, who arrived on loan from French Ligue 1 club Nice after enduring racial abuse towards the end of 2025, is proving himself to be a valuable weapon off the bench. He has two goals and an assist in six matches since joining at the end of January.
