URA FC have officially parted ways with striker Shariph Sheen Kimbowa following the expiry of his contract.

Kimbowa initially joined the Tax Collectors in August 2023 on a two-year deal from Wakiso Giants. However, his time at the club has been marked by limited opportunities and a lack of consistent playing time.

The forward struggled to cement a regular place in the team, finding himself behind Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Bruno Bunyaga in the pecking order. In his second and final season at URA FC, Kimbowa made just seven league appearances and scored a single goal.

During the latter part of his first season, he was loaned out to his former side, Wakiso Giants, in a bid to regain form and playing time.

“Thank you, @KimbowaSheen! Your efforts in the yellow and blue won’t be forgotten. Wishing you the very best ahead!” read a statement from the club on social media.

Kimbowa’s exit is expected to mark the beginning of a player reshuffle at URA FC, with several other contracts also coming to an end.
