Outgoing AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda has cautioned fans not to expect major changes as he prepares to step down, with club elections set for June.
Having served two terms as chairman, Shikanda will leave the Den without delivering a trophy to the once mighty Kenyan club.
“The fact is power is transient, and in a month, I will hand over the club to a different team. However, I want to assure you: expect nothing different at the den, if things will be done in the same manner,” said Shikanda.
“Let me tell you for free, if we still work very hard on systemic sabotage, even if you bring whoever you are thinking about… nothing good will come out of it. I am not leaving the club where I found it, it only needs a sensible person to understand that.”
As things stand, Ingwe are sixth in the 18-team Premier League table with 46 points from 36 matches. They have managed 11 wins, 13 draws and suffered seven defeats. They have also been bundled out of the domestic FKF Cup, having lost to Mara Sugar.
