Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Shooting Stars have sealed the for goalkeeper Elkanah Godsgift ahead of the 2025-26 eason.
The Oluyole Warriors confirmed that the shot-stopper has signed a two-year deal, bringing a wealth of NPFL experience to the Nurudeen Aweroro-led side.
Godsgift has 65 appearances across his career, as he previously played for NPFL clubs including Abia Warriors, Katsina United, and Akwa United, before his most recent tenure at Bayelsa.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper joins Shooting Stars after a successful stint with Bayelsa United, a club he left following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season. His departure from Bayelsa United was reportedly due to a dispute over contract details and the team’s administrative transparency, which saw a mass exodus of key players. .
Godsgift is expected to fight for a starting role with first choice shot stopper, Mustapha Lawal in the new look Nurudeen Aweroro’s team.
