The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, has promised unflinching support for the technical department of the senior national team ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers beginning in less than a month.
Camara took time to meet the coaching staff of the Leone Stars led by ex-international, Mohamed Kallon today to discuss strategies and preparations ahead of the Qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau and Ethiopia in September.
Sierra Leone will face Guinea-Bissau on September 4 in Bissau before taking on Ethiopia on September 9 in Monrovia.
President Kamara was full of praise for the technical team, commending their dedication and hard work, assuring them of the FA’s unwavering backing.
“These matches are critical steps toward our World Cup dream. The FA, through the government of Sierra Leone, is committted to providing the resources, motivation and enabling environment necessary for success.”
“We must remain united, focused and disciplined as we push forward,” he said.
Coach Mohamed Kallon is bent on causing an upset in the qualifiers as his charges occupy third place on eight points, three behind second placed Burkina Faso and eight apart from leaders Egypt after six games.
