Sierra Leone Football Association make appointment to key positions

The Sierra Leone Football Association’s (SLFA) Executive Committee has made new appointments to key positions.

The appointment, announced on Tuesday, February 3 is geared towards shaping and the smooth running of the SLFA.

Experienced football administrator, Mr. Mohamed Benson Bawoh has been named as the General Secretary having previously held strategic positions within the SLFA in the area of corporate affairs.

Benson Bawoh will be assisted by equally experienced football brain, Mr Ishmail Saidu Kanu with both set to work closely with the SLFA boss, Babadi Kamara who was elected as the new President for the 2025–2029 term.

Their appointment was made following a meeting of the Executive Committee which is in line with strengthening the administrative structure of the association.

β€œThe Executive Committee expressed confidence in the experience, professionalism, and leadership qualities of Mr. Bawoh and Mr. Kanu, noting that their appointments will further support the SLFA’s strategic objectives and ongoing football development initiatives.” Part of the statement read.
