Czech Republic First Division club SK Sigma Olomouc have signed young defender Samuel Sokoato Aibe from Nigerian club Mahanaim FC.
The 18-year-old was scouted by Mahanaim FC at a local tournament in Kaduna a few years ago. His physical strength, courage, intelligence, and technical abilities are among the key attributes that attracted Tomáš Janotka’s side.

His arrival at Sigma also reunites him with a familiar pathway. The Czech side already boasts another Mahanaim graduate, Ahmad Ghali, whose progress in Europe could serve as inspiration for the teenage defender as he begins his career in European football.
For Mahanaim FC, Sokoato’s transfer represents yet another success story, further cementing the club’s growing reputation as a launchpad for young Nigerian talents seeking opportunities on the global stage.
