Tanzania Mainland Premier League giants Simba SC have confirmed parting ways with defender Che Malone Fondoh as they prepare to depart for a two week long pre-season camp in Egypt ahead of the new season.
The Msimbazi Reds confirmed the exit of the Cameroonian player just hours after landing the services of former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine de Reuck on a two-year contract.
“We thank you very much for the services you rendered while donning the red shirt,” said Simba on their social media pages.
Malone took to his social media pages to confirm the exit: “I wish to say thank you to every member of the Simba Family; for all the time spent together, the good, the bad and the ugly times.
“Thank you for taking me as a brother not a teammate. I wish to say thank you to my teammates, the technical staff , the medical team and all the Simba management for trusting and believing in me, for the advice, the encouragement, and the push for it greatly uplifted me.
“Special thanks goes to the head coach Fadlu Davids, who took me like a son and not a player. Would have loved to continue the journey with the team but you know football comes with other opportunities to explore and experience other challenges. Special thanks goes too to the fans who relentlessly supported me both in good and bad moments.
“Thank you guys for the criticism, the encouragement, the push and the love you showed me. You will forever remain in my heart. I love you all SIMBA NGUVU MOJA.”
Meanwhile, Simba are on the verge of renewing contract of their first-choice goalkeeper, Moussa Camara, following weeks of speculation and uncertainty regarding his future at the club.
