The veteran goal scorer is forming quite a potent partnership with former Cape Town City winger Darwin González, who provided assists on two first half goals for the former Nigeria national team player. The first half strikes from the Onitsha native put the visitors well on their way to victory before he added one more goal in second half stoppage time.
Simy’s goals came like many of his previous fourteen goals came in the Saudi First Division. In the 11th minute, a low cross arrived in the congested Al Tai penalty area and the giant forward collected the ball and showed patience before finding an opening to finish with a toe poke.

Towards the end of the first half, González had room to run at the Al Tai defense, drawing the attention of a couple of defenders before laying a pass into the path of his striking partner. Simy did not need to take a touch on this occasion, directing a low first-time finish past the goalkeeper to double his tally.
Hosts Al Tai made a spirted effort to get back in the match after halftime. German import Törles Knöll converted a penalty kick midway through the second half. However, there was not quite enough firepower to take advantage of possession dominance and Simy completed his hat-trick deep into second half stoppage time.

With a remarkable record of 16 goals in 12 league matches, he is now only two goals behind the FDL’s top scorer Sylla Sow who plays for league leaders Abha Club. Al Orobah are eight points back of the leaders, who they will play in an important fixture next Tuesday.
