Senegal winger Souleymane Faye has been included in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage squad of Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon.
The 22-year-old signed a contract with the Portuguese Primeira Liga champions until 2030, after the club met his release clause and he will experience the Champions League for the first time.

Sporting Lisbon, who qualified for the round of 16, have submitted their new squad list to UEFA for the knockout stage of the competition, and the young Senegalese player is part of the set up.
Faye, who is capable of playing anywhere across the front line, arrived during the winter transfer window from Granada for a fee of €6.5 million.
Highly regarded by the Sporting Lisbon coach, the player, who came through the Galaxy Foot Academy in Dakar, has made a promising start to his time at the Estádio José Alvalade.
On Thursday evening, he provided an assist in the Portuguese Cup semi-final victory against AVS (3-2). Faye gathered 21 appearances (19 in the Spanish second division and two in the Copa del Rey) with two goals during the 2025/2026 season.
Sporting will play Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Benfica or Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League round of 16.
