South Africa’s Amajita striker joins Israeli club

South Africa under-20 boys’ national football team striker Faiz Abrahams has joined Israeli side, Hapoel Kfar Saba, on loan.

The striker’s Betway Premiership parent club, Stellenbosch FC, confirmed the transfer of the Amajita player to the Israeli team on the season-long loan.

“The move is aimed at providing Abrahams, a recent champion at the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations with South Africa, with valuable football experience and first-team game time abroad,” the team’s statement reads.

The 20-year-old joined Stellenbosch last Betway Premiership campaign and debuted for Steve Barker’s side in March.

Kfar Saba have since welcomed their latest acquisition from South Africa touting his potential in the attacking third.

“Faiz is considered one of the rising talents in South Africa, he has recently won the African Championship with his national team and is even expected to play in the upcoming World Cup,” reads the Israeli’s team’s statement.
