The 25-year-old winger continues to boost his profile with strong performances for Comoros and Monday’s transfer gives Saïd an opportunity in the heavily scouted Belgian top flight. Standard Liège paid a reported transfer fee of €2.5 million to ESTAC Troyes for the services of Saïd.
After a difficult season that saw the club languish in the middle of the table, Standard are rebuilding their squad to achieve more in the 2025-26 campaign and Saïd is their biggest transfer so far this summer. Saïd accumulated 26 goals and 10 assists in 112 games over four seasons in the French second division.
He also scored 4 goals in 10 appearances for Comoros during Les Coelacanthes’ qualification campaign for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations as well as the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Saïd’s goal against The Gambia (video above) was crucial as Comoros secured qualification in dramatic fashion to the 2025 AFCON which will be hosted by Morocco beginning at the end of 2025.
A favorite of Comorian supporters and of fans at Troyes, Saïd is poised to take his club career to the next level while hoping to continue his excellent form before the upcoming AFCON finals.
