South Africa's Stellenbosch FC have released a statement celebrating the exploits of their former midfielder Sihle Nduli, who has signed for Orlando Pirates.
The Western Cape-based side confirmed that the midfielder was set to begin a new chapter of his career away from Steve Barker's side.
"Everyone at Stellenbosch FC would like to thank Sihle for his service to the club and wish him well as he embarks on the next chapter of his career, which will see him join Orlando Pirates ahead of the 2025-26 season," the club's statement reads.
Stellenbosch then highlighted the impact of the 29-year-old midfielder, saying he made history with the 2025 CAF Confederation Cup semifinalists.
"He made 104 appearances across all competitions during his spell in the Cape Winelands, becoming one of only 10 players to feature in more than a century of matches for the club," the club writes.
"The 29-year-old was part of the squad that lifted the 2023 Carling Knockout trophy and helped Stellies reach the 2024 MTN final, while playing a valuable role in the club qualifying for the continental CAF Confederation Cup in back-to-back seasons."
"He scored the winning goal in last season’s Confed Cup quarter-final win over reigning champions Zamalek, before making his final appearance in Maroon against rivals Cape Town City during a match in which he donned the captain’s armband."
Nduli is among the new recruits for Pirates who are set to begin a new chapter following the exit of coach Jose Riveiro. Sipho Mbule is also among the new signings for the Soweto giants.
