Uganda Premier League side Police Football Club have signed young defender Sula Mpanga to bolster their back line.
The 22-year-old right-back who can equally play at the wings joined The Cops on a two-year deal.
He arrives with a wealth of experience, having previously played for Vipers Sports Club, Gaddafi FC, Maroons FC, and Mbale Heroes where he played six games before signing for Police FC.
Mpanga took some time off during his unveiling to share his excitement at joining Police FC.
“I’m so privileged and honored to have joined Police FC, it’s a dream come true, and I’m already feeling at home thanks to the great reception. With the support from everyone around me, I’m going to work hard and fight for the badge.”
Police FC are chasing their second Uganda Premier League title as they occupy 6th spot on the table with 32 points from 17 matches.
They are one point behind KCCA and Kitara and two adrift of Gaddafi and SC Villa as Vipers lead them with six points. Police last won the Uganda Premier League in 2005.
