Mubarak Suleiman bags assist as Slavia Prague conquer Karviná

Slavia Prague continued their dominant form in the Czech First League as young Nigerian midfielder Mubarak Suleiman provided an assist to help Sešívaní secure a 3-1 away victory against MFK Karviná on Saturday.

​Suleiman, who broke into the first team this season from the club’s youth ranks, has instantly made an impact for Slavia Prague with a top-tier performance on his first start.

​The visitors took the lead in the 16th minute through Tomáš Chorý, before Karviná responded in the 38th minute to end the first half 1-1. Slavia Prague increased the intensity in the second half, and it paid off 15 minutes after the restart when Suleiman’s shot from distance was redirected into the goal by Jan Bořil, who restored the lead for Jindřich Trpišovský’s side. Mojmír Chytil later sealed the victory with a third goal.

​Suleiman’s journey to Slavia Prague

​The 18-year-old, who was substituted in the 76th minute, joined the Czech giants from Right2Win Sports Academy (based in Umuahia, Abia State) in 2025. He has been a key part of their U19 team, featuring in the UEFA Youth League.

​He has now recorded a goal and an assist for the senior team, having previously found the net in a 4-0 thrashing of Mladá Boleslav last Saturday. He has also been one of the standout players in the UEFA Youth League this season, helping the club’s youth team to the knockout stages with 5 goals in 6 matches.
