Sunday's action in 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying will be a low key affair with little to play for in comparison to the last several days. Group E concludes with the only position in question being third place in the group. Algeria are already confirmed as the group winners ahead of their clash at home against Liberia, who are currently in third place. Equatorial Guinea are secure as the group runner-up to qualify with Algeria and the Nzalang Nacional will finish up their campaign in Lomé against Togo who will look to finish with a victory and avoid the bottom spot.
Pan-Africa Football will update live as both matches are played simultaneously. Check out our articles about the action from Saturday and Friday below as well.
16:00 GMT
Group E:
Algeria vs. Liberia (Tizi Ouzou, Algeria)
Togo vs. Equatorial Guinea (Lomé, Togo)
The final matches are underway in Group E with both taking place simultaneously. Third placed Liberia are off to a dream start in Algeria following Sampson Dweh's strike inside ten minutes to put the Lone Star ahead. No score yet between Togo and Equatorial Guinea through fifteen minutes.
HT:
Algeria 2-1 Liberia
Togo 1-0 Equatorial Guinea
Already qualified, Algeria and Equatorial Guinea showed signs of complacency early on by falling behind. However, Algeria have recovered from a poor start to score twice against poor defending by visitors Liberia. Former Ghana Premier League goal king Yaw Annor has the only goal in Lomé, his first since electing to represent Togo which would see the Sparrow Hawks avoid a last place finish if the results stand.
FT:
Algeria 5-1 Liberia
Togo 3-0 Equatorial Guinea
The home sides dominated today, particularly Algeria who overcame an early deficit to score five goals against a Liberia defense that crumbled away from home. Les Verts end their campaign with 16 points, well ahead of runners-up Equatorial Guinea who lost to Togo in Lomé. Togo end a poor campaign on a positive note and overtake Liberia on the table to avoid the further embarrassment of a last place finish in Group E.
