Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has revealed his disappointment with Premier Soccer League (PSL) ahead of their return to Betway Premiership action on Tuesday.

The PSL champions will resume their hunt to the defend the title after successfully sealing their place in the final of the CAF Champions League following their qualification on the away goal rule against defending champions Al Ahly of Egypt.

Sundowns drew the first leg of the semi-final clash 0-0 at home but went to Cairo where they managed a 1-1 draw to qualify for the final where they will face Pyramids of Egypt. On their part, Pyramids needed a 3-2 victory at home after a 0-0 draw in South Africa to eliminate Orlando Pirates 3-2 on aggregate.

After doing the Champions League job, Sundowns will return to league action seeking their 19th win of the campaign against Richards Bay at Loftus Versfeld.

"Surprisingly, our match on Sunday was moved to Saturday, so now we have a match on Wednesday, and again on Saturday. Difficulties are just going to make us stronger, and that's how we are going to face this championship until the end,” said Cardoso as quoted by SABC Sports.

On their preparedness for the league clash, he said: “When you feed yourself from victory, you need to look at the next fixture in order to keep your mind and soul at peace. That's what we need to do, approach the next matches we have with ambition, and try to get as many points as possible, as quickly as possible.”

Sundowns are topping the table with 55 points from 22 matches while Pirates are second with 46 points from 20 outings.
