MamelodI Sundowns have once against dominated the Betway Premiership awards after their coach Miguel Cardoso and player Lucas Ribeiro Costa were crowned the best coach and player of the month for February.
The Portuguese tactician scooped the award after he guided the Brazilians to six wins in seven league matches while Ribeiro was honoured after he had eight goal contributions from seven matches.
Ribeiro was further honoured for the goal of the month after his brilliant solo goal for Sundowns against rivals Orlando Pirates was voted the best for the month of February.
Sundowns started the month of February with a 4-0 win against Golden Arrows, beat 10-man SuperSport United 3-0 in the Tshwane derby, following it up with a 4-1 thumping of rivals Pirates, suffered a shock 1-0 defeat against TS Galaxy but recovered to beat Marumo Gallants 3-1.
Their next fixture was against TS Galaxy which they earned a sweet revenge after a 4-1 win, beat Sekhukhune United 4-2 before sealing a double over Kaizer Chiefs following a 1-0 win at FNB Stadium.
Sundowns will return to league action with a tricky away fixture against Golden Arrows at Mpumalanga Stadium on Wednesday.
