Dr. Mostafa El Monaiery, head of the medical staff at Pyramids FC, has revealed the reasons behind the absence of the trio Ramadan Sobhi, Mostafa Fathi, and Mohanad Lasheen from the squad list for Pyramids' match against National Bank in the fifth round of the title phase in the Nile Egyptian League.

El Monaiery explained that Ramadan Sobhi is suffering from a sprain in his ankle, which he sustained during recent training sessions.

He added that Mostafa Fathi is suffering from a strain in his quadriceps muscle and is currently undergoing a rehabilitation program with the medical staff.

Mohanad Lasheen is dealing with a strain in the hamstring of his left leg, also picked up during recent training, and the trio were excluded from the squad in order to prepare them for upcoming matches.

Pyramids currently sit in second place in the Nile Egyptian League standings with 47 points, two points behind leaders Al Ahly, who have played one more match.

Pyramids will face South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns in the two-legged CAF Champions League final on May 24 and June 1. The first leg will take place with Sundowns as hosts at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
