Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa named General Manager of Kano Pillars

Nigeria Premier Football League club (NPFL) Kano Pillars have confirmed the appointment of Ahmed Musa as their new General Manager.


The appointment, announced in a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, is part of renewed efforts to reposition the club and strengthen its performance ahead of the new season.


A statement on the club’s official website confirmed: “Big news from Sai Masu Gida! Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has been appointed as the General Manager of Kano Pillars FC by the Kano State Government. A legend returns home to lead.”


Nigeria’s most capped international, with 111 appearances, Musa returns to the club where he enjoyed success as a player.


Ali Muhammad-Umar was also retained as the chairman of the board. The reformed board includes Salisu Kosawa, Yusuf Danladi, Idris Garu, Nasiru Bello, Muhammad Ibrahim and Abdulkarim Chara.


Others are Muhammad Gwarzo, Mustapha Darma, Umar Dankura, Ahmad Musbahu, Gambo Shuaibu, Rabiu Abdullahi, Aminu Ma’alesh and Safiyanu Abdu. Abubakar Dandago and Ismail Abba were appointed as media directors.
