Super Falcons defender Glory Ogbonna bids farewell to Beşiktaş

Nigerian international Glory Ogbonna has officially confirmed he departure from Turkish club Beşiktaş after spending two years with the team.
The 26-year-old centre-back made her decision known on Thursday via her official Instagram handle. Ogbonna expressed a heartfelt gratitude to her teammates, coaching staff, club officials, and fans for their support during her time in Istanbul.
"l just want to use this medium to appreciate this wonderful club for how they made me feel at home during my stay with them, I want to thank my teammates, technical team, board members and the fans for their support both in good and in bad times you all always make sure that love leads thank you all, and I wish the club a wonderful season from now onwards, one love Beşiktaş."
She joined Beşiktaş in 2023 from fellow Turkish side ALG Spor. Ogbonna previously played for Edo Queens in Nigeria’s NWFL in 2019. She has also played in Europe for Umeå IK in Sweden and Santa Teresa in Spain.
Ogbonna was also part of the Super Falcons team that represented Nigeria in the 2023 Women's World in New Zealand and Australia.
