Super Falcons triumph over Cameroon in friendly encounter

The Super Falcons of Nigeria defeated the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 2-0 in their friendly match played on Tuesday at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The friendly, which was moved on two separate occasions due to unforeseen circumstances, will be the only clash between the two teams after previously agreeing to play two games.
A first half brace from captain Rashidat Ajibade saw the Nigerian side take a decisive lead entering into the half-time break. Ajibade opened the score line in the 28 minute through a penalty she won and slotted home.
In the 43rd minute a superb pass from Omorinsola Babajide picked out the former Atlético Madrid forward in the box, and she made no mistake to complete her brace.
Coach Justin Madugu's ladies kept pushing for a third to seal it, but Cameroon showed resilience and kept fighting to get back into the game.
