Ivorian striker Sébastien Haller faces an uncertain future at German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.
Haller, winner of the 2023 African Cup of Nations with Côte d'Ivoire, is currently on loan in the Dutch Eredivisie where he plays for FC Utrecht. Prior to his loan spell at FC Utrecht, Sébastien Haller spent time in Spain on an unsuccessful loan spell with Club Deportivo Leganés.
In the Dutch Eredivisie, the Ivorian striker has found his feet, scoring four goals in ten games to help the team. With him set to return to Borussia Dortmund, Haller's future is now uncertain.
According to some sources, Dortmund are keen to offload the Ivorian striker and are already looking for potential buyers. Unfortunately, Haller's €10 million per vyear salary makes it difficult for clubs interested in signing him.
At 30, Haller is in good form and appears keen to stay in Europe despite potential interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.
