Following a poor performance at home that resulted in a defeat in their CAF Champions League group stage opener, reigning Tanzanian champions Young Africans got back to winning ways in domestic league action on Saturday.

Yanga found two second half goals to defeat hosts Namungo 2-0 during their visit to the southeast coast. Zambia national team attacker Kennedy Musonda opened the scoring in the 50th minute and Pacôme Zouzoua confirmed the victory with his goal in the 68th minute from an assist by Clatous Chama.

Despite a three-match losing streak in all competitions before the match including two consecutive defeats in the NBC Premier League, Yanga are not far off the top with only one point separating them from current leaders Simba. Next weekend The Citizens will return to CAF Champions League play with a visit to Algeria's MC Alger.

The results from the weekend so far are below followed by highlights of Saturday's victory for Yanga.
