Bayer Leverkusen delivered an emphatic 6-3 victory over VfL Wolfsburg, with African stars Edmond Tapsoba and Ibrahim Maza playing decisive roles in a thrilling encounter.
Wolfsburg initially took the lead through Jonas Wind in the 16th minute, before Joakim Mæhle added a second in the 31st minute. Alejandro Grimaldo responded for Leverkusen with goals in the 30th, while Christian Eriksen converted a penalty in the 38th minute to assure advantage for Wolfsburg. Grimaldo scored again in the 44th minute then Patrick schick scored the third in the 53rd minute to keep Leverkusen in the contest.
With the score tied at 3-3, the game turned decisively in Leverkusen’s favor. Burkinabé defender Tapsoba scored the crucial fourth goal in the 68th minute with a strike from inside the box, giving his team the lead for the first time.

Just five minutes later, Algerian forward Maza extended the advantage to 5-3 with another finish, effectively sealing the outcome.
Malik Tillman added the sixth goal deep into stoppage time (90+6) to cap off a remarkable performance.
With this victory, Leverkusen strengthen their position in sixth place with 49 points, while Wolfsburg remain in 17th place on 21 points, continuing to be in the relegation zone.
