The dynamic attacker moves to the UAE Pro League side on a permanent basis after a highly successful loan spell with the club during the second half of the 2024-25 season. The 32-year-old made an immediate impact upon joining, providing 3 goals and 3 assists during a five-match winning streak that was instrumental as the club successfully avoided relegation.
Tissoudali ended his loan with 6 goals and 4 assists in 12 games and is set to continue to be a key player for the club based in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Dutch-born player enjoyed his best years in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League. During the 2021-22 season with KAA Gent, Tissoudali won the Belgian Cup and produced an impressive 21 goals and 5 assists in 34 league matches.
He was awarded with the 2022 Ebony Shoe for the best player in Belgian football who is African or of African descent, also winning the Belgian Lion Award twice (2021 and 2022) given to the best player of descent from the Maghreb region.
It was a bittersweet period for Tissoudali, however, as a long-term knee ligament injury in July 2022 came at the worst possible time, causing him to miss out on a chance to make Morocco’s squad that finished in fourth place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, he rediscovered his form at Gent before a failed move to Greece led to his success at current club Khor Fakkan, who finished in 8th position in the 14-team UAE Pro League.
